Twitter: When followers don’t exist.
0For those of you on Twitter, how many people do you actually personally know on your followers list? I mean how many of them would you help move if they asked? According to a report; you would no to at least one third of them.
In April, Katie Stanton (someone important over at Twitter) told the media that the site had 200 million registered accounts just before the 300 millionth user signed up. Notice a discrepancy? Me too. Turns out that one third of every Twitter user is heavily processed ham or for the hicks out there: SPAM. With the approximate 460,000 sign-ups per day it has become clear that the time will come when Twitter must begin forcing these “fake” accounts out.
However pushing too many of these accounts out could be a problem as Business Insider reports that there are actually less than 21 million active users on Twitter. Unfortunately for them they are miles behind the social media giant called Facebook as they just hit their one trillionth hit in one month. Of course, unless that is someone isn’t just hitting the refresh button over at Facebook headquarters.
