I Mean, Why Wouldn’t You Cut Your Hand Off?

A Southern California man cut off his own hand with a kitchen knife for no clear reason.*

“I just got bored and decided that life would be better with one hand. Also, my wife thinks it’s kinky” – completely made-up quote.

Instead of calling 911, he chose to ‘tough it out’ and let it scab over. Unfortunately for him, it did the opposite.

The man, whose name is being withheld but who I will call ‘Rudy’, was rushed to the hospital. There is no word on whether surgeons attempted to reattach the severed hand.
