Cash Cab Has Been Canceled

After seven years and more than 200 episodes, Discovery Channel has confirmed via Vulture that they are pulling the plug on the successful game show.

Cash Cab was extremely popular during its’ seven-year stint. It won several Emmy’s and were nominated for several more. Despite there being “13,000 cabs in the streets of the Big Apple, but there’s only one that pays you!” Discovery isn’t green-lighting a seventh season.

Re-runs will continue to play from now until September.

For those of you who love winning money in a cab — there might be a silver lining: Lion Television, the producer, has an option to convince another channel to pick it up.
