Two teenage girls from Pittsburgh were struck by a car while sunbathing on the street.
Authorities say the two 13-year-old girls had to be flown by helicopter to the hospital after they fell asleep while sunbathing in the roadway and were hit by the car.
Witnesses say the car stopped at a stop sign before making a turn and hitting the two girls.
The victims were conscious when ambulances arrived to take them to meet the helicopters.
Doctors say the victims will live — but their earlier brain damage is incurable.
