Zoo Keeper Saves Monkey’s Life By Licking His Anus

Wuhan Zoo employee Zhang Bangsheng noticed that a young leaf monkey had become dangerously constipated after eating a peanut.

Being too big to pass through the monkey’s internal systems naturally, the peanut had to be removed.. manually.

Which to a zookeeper, translates to licking it out.

Zhang told local reporters he had no choice but to extract the lodged peanut with his tongue. After washing its bottom with warm water, Zhang spent an hour locking the monkey’s anus before the peanut finally popped out.

Zhang didn’t mind at all — reporters say he “laughed with satisfaction.”
