Man Arrested For DWI On A Wal-Mart Scooter

Houma police investigated a strange DUI case last Sunday. Cops say they received a call about a man driving a motorized scooter down the a local street, pulling a wheelchair behind it.

According to police, 24-year-old Thomas Philip told them he had been at a local Wal-Mart when he decided to take the scooter for a “joy ride.”

Police put Philips under arrest and booked him on a charge of theft and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The other man being pulled in the wheelchair was released without incident.
