Climber Falls 1,200 ft Down Mountain And Lives
0A mountain climber fell down 1,200 ft off a mountain in Washington State and survived despite serious head injuries.
Few details have been released about the 49-year-old man, whose name has not been released, except that he was climbing in the North Cascades National Park when he fell.
He fell down the eastern portion of Luna Peak, and given the distance, must have hit a large number of rocks, trees and rough terrain.
Rangers were alerted to the scene when two climbers set off a help beacon to save the injured man.
This is the third incident in as many weeks at North Cascades National Park.
