A police officer from Port Orange asked a woman to show him how her husband tried to strangle her and when the women put her hands around the policeman’s neck, she was arrested.
The officer, Michael Garay, responded to the domestic disturbance, and charged Claudia Ambroziak with battery on a law enforcement officer, although he admits to asking the woman for a demonstration, police reports state.
“I asked Claudia to show me how Joe (Ambroziak) choked her,” Garay wrote in his report. “Claudia was able to place approximately two fingers and her thumb around the front of my neck…was able to apply pressure to the front of my neck.”
Garay said he grabbed Ambroziak’s hand when she applied stiff pressure to his neck.
Officers were called to the scene after Ambroziak “kicked” her husband of 33 years in the back while they were arguing.
