Which Profession Drinks The Most Coffee?
0While the debate could be made that everyone needs coffee, Dunkin’ Donut and CareerBuilder did their annual survey on U.S. coffee consumption trends in the workplace. Their findings revealed some interesting stats.
First off, the top 15 heaviest coffee drinkers by workforce is as follows:
- Scientist/Lab Technician
- Marketing/PR Professional
- Education Administrator
- Editor/Writer
- Healthcare Administrator
- Physician
- Food Preparer
- Professor
- Social Worker
- Financial Professional
- Personal Caretaker
- Human Resources Benefits Coordinator
- Nurse
- Government Professional
- Skilled Tradesperson
46% of workers claimed that they are less productive without coffee.
Here are some more interesting findings:
- Editors/Writers, government professionals and teachers are most likely to add flavor to their coffee.
- HR professionals and personal caretakers are most likely to enjoy their coffee with cream and sugar while Judges, attorneys and hotel workers are most likely to take their coffee black.
I’m not surprised to see writers so high on the list of coffee drinkers – I average about 4-6 cups a day. However, I’d be interested to see the top 15 SodaStream users, I know writers would top that list.
