On February 5th, thousands of fans will cram into Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and more than 100 million fans will watch Superbowl XLVI on television. Not only is the Super Bowl the pinnacle of professional sports, but it’s also a make or break day for advertisers, promotors, bars, restaurants and the like. This year the NFL is planning to toss something else into the mix: social media.
